About us
The Woodshed Cafe is a destination, bespoke coffee bar & cafe situated in Hearn Field on the banks of the river Teign between Shaldon & Combeinteignhead in South Devon.
We serve the finest freshly ground coffee and a full range of speciality teas, and hot chocolate (made from real chocolate flakes!) as well as a large range of delicious hot and cold food for breakfast and lunches with breathtaking views. We also sell smoothies, velvety milkshakes and ice creams…there’s also free treats for your furry best friend.
We aim to support local businesses and to keep food miles down by sourcing our produce as close to home as possible from here in the West Country.
Since taking over The Woodshed in May 2025, Sarah has enjoyed elevating and expanding the menu & opening hours in partnership with long standing friend and fellow Combeinteignhead resident Stuart due to the increased custom.
Both Sarah and Stuart previously enjoyed successful busy and at times highly stressful careers. After retiring early, The Woodshed Café is the perfect change in direction & pace. Stuart says “It’s the best office window I’ve ever had”
All are welcome, not just those from the Parish and we are happy to provide sustenance to walkers, cyclists, nature lovers, rowers, bird watchers - in fact anyone who wants to become part of our community, even if only for a fleeting visit.
Regulars can get a free coffee every with our loyalty card, and doggy treats are always on offer for our four-legged friends. Keep an eye on our socials for occasional events including our popular Summer sundowner sessions.
