It’s all about the coffee
We use The Coffee Company’s premium beans - Pure Earth’s Organic Marcala Coffee
This Fairtrade coffee guarantees a better deal for third world producers. The Marcala Triple Certified Beans are a complex pure arabica blend. The fruity sweetness, lightness and acidity of the Columbian and Honduras coffees is balanced well by the heavy earthy and spicy notes of the Sumatra.
We also use compostibe double wall PLA Edenware Cups, made from paper and are lined on the inside with PLA, a renewable plant based alternative to plastic, which will biodegrade along with the paper – traditional recyclable paper cups have a plastic-based inside lining, which needs to be separated before it can be recycled. The Sip Thru Lids are vegware, made completely from PLA, these are completely compostable.

The Woodshed Cafe is situated in Hearn Field which is a beautiful, 6 and a half acre piece of land on the banks of the River Teign in the village of Combeinteignhead. It was named after the local farmer and landowner Percy Hearn who bequeathed it upon his death in 1983 “for the enjoyment of the Parishioners of Haccombe-with-Combe”. We like to think that Percy would be very happy to see our customers enjoying a drink and a natter while taking in the breathtaking views.
Of course, all are welcome, not just those from the Parish and we are happy to provide sustenance to walkers, cyclists, dog-walkers, rowers - in fact anyone who wants to become part of our community, even if only for a fleeting visit.
Regulars can get a free coffee every now and then with our loyalty cards, and doggy treats are always on offer for our four-legged friends. .
